What’s been happening:

After retiring from full time financial work with my long-time employer (The Stanley Works) I remained too restless to permanently quit "work" so I became my town's Registrar of Voters/Election Administrator. This is a regular part-time effort to run the voter registration and voting process for 17,000 electors in a medium-size suburb of Hartford, CT. The recent conversion to electronic voting and the ongoing heightened sensitivity to election outcomes has made the work quite demanding and satisfying. A typical year here includes 3 to 5 election events. Any remaining spare time is spent participating in the lives of the three grandchildren who reside in our community and acting as Treasurer of our local historical society.
